About CloudCamp:
CloudCamp is an unconference where early adopters of Cloud Computing technologies exchange ideas. With the rapid change occurring in the industry, we need a place where we can meet to share our experiences, challenges and solutions. At CloudCamp, you are encouraged to share your thoughts in several open discussions, as we strive for the advancement of Cloud Computing. End users, IT professionals and vendors are all encouraged to participate.
Following the success of CloudCamp at WebHostinDay 2009, CloudCamp was invited back to Cologne by the organizers of WebHostingDay, Europe's largest hosting conference. This time, we will be camping both WHD conference days. We will again bring a healthy mix of vision and technology presentations, panels and unpanels, and of course many unconferences. WHD expects over 1000 visitors, most of which will be interested to catch up with the most recent trends in Cloud Computing. Registration works as follows: once you have completed your Eventbrite registration you get a code for FREE registration to WHD. Do not forget to register on www.webhostingday.com or you will not be able to attend. If you need more codes, please mail to tom dot leyden at gmail dot com. The collaboration between CloudCamp and WebHostingDay is a win-win: CloudCamp benefits from a great platform and WebHostingDay will meet a large number of Cloud specialists sharing their view on recent trends in the industry. The event consists of: Keynotes, (un)panel & technology talks: this is mainly the visionary and technology part of the event. Cloud evangelists and technology/visionary representatives give their view on Cloud Computing, the latest technology evolutions & market trends. As usual, we will insist with the presenters to not give sales pitches. Unconference: attendees split up in smaller groups to discuss topics of their specific interest. Networking: in between the sessions, Cloud Computing enthusiasts are welcome to hang around to network and have a drink This is a community event. Please propose talks you would like to give, talks you would like to hear, discussions you would like to lead, or would like to participate in. As an event from the industry for the industry, it delivers information and impulses directly from the source to the right target group. It unites the decision makers of the leading European web hosting companies, and thus provides an ideal venue for an exchange of experiences as well as networking among equals. CloudCamp will spread over the 2 conference days at WebHostingDay, allowing attendees to . It will be a full day of presentations, discussions and networking for Hosting and Cloud enthusiasts. The goal is to enable and encourage audience participation. The unconference groups can be moderated by volunteers or sponsor representatives. If you are giving a presentation (lightning talk / keynote) you will need to supply the slides to the organizers 1 week prior to the event.
